Refund Policy – SM Car Rental

At SM Car Rental, we aim to provide a smooth and satisfactory experience for every customer. Our refund policy is designed to ensure clarity and fairness in case of booking cancellations or service issues.

1. Eligibility for Refund:

A refund may be applicable under the following circumstances:

  • Customer-Initiated Cancellations (as per our Cancellation Policy):

    • Full refund for cancellations made more than 24 hours before scheduled pickup.

    • Partial refund for cancellations made 12–24 hours before pickup.

    • No refund for cancellations made less than 12 hours before pickup or in case of no-show.

  • Service Not Delivered by SM Car Rental:
    If SM Car Rental cancels a confirmed booking due to vehicle unavailability, driver issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, a 100% refund will be issued.

  • Overpayment or Duplicate Payment:
    If you have been charged more than once for the same booking, the excess amount will be refunded after verification.

2. Refund Process:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method (e.g., credit/debit card, UPI, bank transfer).

  • All eligible refunds will be initiated within 5–7 business days of approval.

  • Refund timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment gateway.

3. Non-Refundable Situations:

  • No refund will be provided for last-minute cancellationsno-shows, or unutilized bookings.

  • Any service complaints must be reported within 24 hours of trip completion to be considered for refund review.
